Interview with
“Women Can Do Anything"
and
Theresa Flint

WCDA: What is the nature of your business?
Theresa: Give us your tired executives. The Corporate Soul Connection is a dwelling that offers rejuvenation, hope and a completely different approach to getting connected. Designed for Individuals and Companies whose most valuable asset is Human Capital.

WCDA: What services or products does your business offer?
Theresa: We offer one and two day retreats in beautiful Niagara-On-The-Lake where we teach the secret of mastering the skill of having fun, getting connected, finding your purpose and focusing on manifesting change with crystal clear results.

WCDA: Who is your target market?
Theresa: Tired Executives, Exhausted Moms, Burned-out Individuals, Women seeking Hope.

WCDA: What is your mission statement?
Theresa: To lead by example and inspire others. Encourage the best in everyone by teaching skill sets on how to make the impossible possible by stretching ourselves beyond our grasp to expand possibilities and grow. Trust our inner-wisdom; connect soul with passion and intention with conviction. To balance and harmonize body, mind and spirit and always make room in your heart for a person in need.

WCDA: What first sparked your interest in this business and why are you passionate about it?
Theresa: I come from a place of experience. I am a breast cancer survivor of thirteen years. I knew I wanted to live and share my experiences and techniques of survival with others. Ninety percent of all disease is stress based. As an Intuit I possess a rare gift, which I utilize in helping others know their purpose and find their path. The results are stunning!

WCDA: Who inspired you?
Theresa: Every woman who has gone before me that has contracted breast cancer inspires me. Every woman who has reached out to someone for hope inspires me. Every woman who reached out to help someone inspires me.

WCDA: Why did you pursue your own business vs working for someone else?
Theresa: I have always had my own business since age 25. I am a natural born leader and I love and resonate with the energies of people of all ages. Having your own business you wear many hats from C.E.O. to go for this and go for that. The experience is invaluable and it teaches us many coping skills. As women we are nurturers by nature and the experience helps us help others.

WCDA: What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how did you overcome them?
Theresa: The “Good Old Boys Club” is alive and well. We have come a long way “Baby” and burning our bras in the 1960 certainly made a statement but there is still much to do. I found in my career that I was competing in a predominately male environment and often I was not taken seriously. A lot of that has changed as we see more women taking on the role of C.E.O. in major companies. Statistics have shown that women who start their own business are 50% more likely to succeed than their male counter parts. I overcame obstacles by being tenacious, having a positive attitude and strong belief in myself.

WCDA: What is your business's proudest achievement so far?
Theresa: Helping and mentoring other women. I offer life-style coaching and I have had the pleasure to serve women who had lost all hope. When I see a woman go back to College against all odds and graduate then I absolutely beam with pride knowing I have had a part in her success. When I see a woman at age 67 leave a mentally abusive marriage with no money only hope and belief in herself that she can make a difference then I know I have done my job and I have done it well.

WCDA: What are some of your future goals?
Theresa: I am in the process of setting up a team of Management Consultants with a holistic approach. It offers a novel approach to get connected and find that genuine place you need to come from. Often people can’t quite put their finger on that “missing something”. We all have unique capabilities and talents we just need to identify what they are and how to apply them. It is the turning point in your life/career where you sort out what is real and doable using skill sets taught at the Corporate Soul Connection. You come away knowing your purpose, value and self-worth.

WCDA: What 'Pearl of Wisdom' can you offer to help other women starting out?
Theresa: Never quit or give up hope. Believe in yourself if you don’t who will. Put a value on yourself not one else will do it for you. Keep telling yourself “Yes, I can” and believe it.

WCDA: What is your favorite quotation?
Theresa: Without purpose and meaning there would be not hope. Hope is the blueprint of life. Hope is what keeps us going and hope fuels our dreams.
